Linking Support on Intimate Partner Violence and Substance Use
The links between intimate partner violence (IPV) and substance use are complex and rates of both have risen during the COVID-19 pandemic, with potentially enduring effects on women’s health. This webinar will describe the evidence on the connections between substance use and IPV and promising practices for integrating support on the two issues. We will share an infographic and two information sheets that can be used by social workers to increase awareness and action on substance use and IPV.

Presented by:
Nancy Poole, PhD, LLD (Hon), Director, Centre of Excellence for Women’s Health
Lindsay Wolfson, MPH, Manager, Centre of Excellence for Women’s Health
